The attack of 50 Foot Cheerleaders is a 3D comedy horror comedy film directed by Kevin O'Neill and produced by Roger Corman as his first 3D production and 1995 film update. Attack from 60 Foot Centerfold also produced by Corman. Movie stars Treat Williams, Sean Young, and Jena Sims. The film was released on August 25, 2012 in Epix.

Plot

Cassie Stratford is a science junkie, whose mother is captain of Cheersquad at Iron Coast University and president of Zeta Mu Sorority, so she is pressed to join cheerleaders and coeds. However, Brittany Andrews, President of Zeta and Cheer Captain (who owns the Napoleonic complex), refused.

Cassie works at the University's Biology Building, where she and her friend, Kyle, are working on a remedy that turns beautiful. At night, Cassie steals the drug and injects herself. While she became pretty and made a cheer squad when one of the cheerleaders got hurt, she later found the drug had side effects when she started growing taller and taller until she was a giant as tall as 50 feet.

When Brittany discovers this, he tries to seduce Kyle to tell his secret, which causes him to be accidentally injected with more medication than Cassie and grows larger as well (also, Cassie's breasts grow bigger as well, and thus his shirt appears, because the growth rate they). Production

Roger Corman stated that for every 350 movies he produces, he has worked efficiently and planned ahead of time. He told the Toronto Star that he hopes to premiere the movie at Comic-Con in July 2012. In the praise he paid to actress Sean Young, Corman told him, "Sean, you're great in pictures but you You look too good to be a mother! "This is Corman's first 3D production.

The actress in the title role, Jena Sims, was named Miss Georgia Teen USA 2007.

Release

The film premiered August 25, 2012 in Epix. It plays on Comic Con on July 14, 2012. It also plays at the 3D Film Festival on September 22, 2012.

Lionsgate released the movie on DVD in 2015 without any special features.
