Leadership
Oregon Marching Band plays a variety of songs designed to add to the atmosphere of Autzen Stadium match day. The Ducks battle song is former director Albert Perfect, "Mighty Oregon". For the most part, OMB plays popular songs from the last 40 years. Some fan favorites include Journey's "Separate Ways", Disney's "DuckTales" theme song, "Louie Louie" "," Ease On Down The Road "from The Wiz, many charts by Earth, Wind & Fire, and dozens of BBQ Additions new including "Bad Romance", "Winner", and "All of the Lights"
Fine for BBQ
"Fine For BBQ's", usually called just "BBQs", is a collection of short songs. Usually played by bands in the stands, some longer BBQs, such as "Come on Eileen" and "Walking on Sunshine", are used during pregame, band battles and other performances. The specific songs included have changed over the years as new songs have been added and the old ones have been removed. Many BBQs are based on popular music. Some of the latest additions include "Until The Ended World" and "Rock Party Songs"
Prime Cutting
"Prime Cuts" is a new collection of short songs. Usually the band plays this when certain football players make a good game. For example: Marcus Mariota's theme song is "Hawaii Five-O" and Vernon Adam's theme song is "California Love". Other important songs in the collection include "Shots", "Menance", and "Wrecking Ball"

Uniform
Oregon Marching Band share the same rights of their athletic programs with what they wear, giving them access to Nike designed uniforms. For the 2008-09 season, OMB received a new style uniform to replace the older set of uniforms that were used from 2003 to 2007 season, including a green wool jacket and bib pants that blend with the grass of the Autzen Stadium Stadium and the dark green motorcycle helmet, likened to those worn by Nazi storm forces during World War II. The uniform was a gift in 2003 from an alumnus of the University of Oregon and co-founder of Nike Phil Knight. The new band uniforms are designed in partnership with football uniforms and new school cheerleaders in an effort to give the day of an Oregon football game as well as what they feel is a unique style. The end result emphasizes the "athletic" marching band. While the 2003 uniforms were filled with reactions, including the anger of the alumni and donors, the new uniform of 2008 was immediately welcomed.
Gameday Uniform
Like the Oregon football team, marching band uniforms have many levels of adjustment by pairing different Nike equipment, such as:
- Pants: Nike black athletic pants with silver net strips on the sides
- Shirt: Green Nike Drifit long sleeves and green Nike Drifit neck long-sleeved turtle (for cold weather, worn under other Drifit), both worn under vest
- Vest: Reversible vest yellow/white with carbon fiber "O" on the front
- Jackets: Nike black travel jacket with carbon fiber "O" on the front
- Hats: a variety of yellow green hats, worn during different quarters of the game
- Shoes: Nike Nike shoes Black with Nike capability
- T-shirts: green "Oregon Marching Band" T-shirt (extra T-shirt accepted for bowl game)
- Plain: green Nike "Oregon Marching Band" polo
- OBB, GGB, and YGB get their own plain color.
- Students must supply their own trousers and black socks.
The green helmet, which the band retired after the 2005 season, is currently being sold to raise money for the band.

In addition to the men's cage match, OBB plays in Civil War basketball games, and travels with both men's and women's teams to Pac-12 tournaments in Seattle, Washington and Las Vegas, Nevada, and March tournament madness.
Green Garter Band
The Green Garter Band (GGB) is a select group of twelve players who play in many additional events for the University of Oregon. From funk to rock to hip hop, the GGB plays hundreds of songs arranged by students with high energy to entertain the hundreds of thousands they do each year. The group has a faculty advisor, the Director of Athletic Bands, but is for the most part fully run by its student members. The Green Garter Band performs for all the UO Princess Volleyball games, UO Women's Basketball home games, many home UO Softball games and serves as the core unit of OBB and OMB. Each year, the GGB also provides about 20-25 performances at special events at the Department of Athletics, for UO School of Music and Dance, for the University at large, and at special events in the community. In return for their great commitment, Green Garter Band members are awarded scholarships equivalent to about 12 credits within the state. The demand for GGB was so high that in 2002, Yellow Garter Band (YGB) was created to help meet the number of incoming requests. Yellow Garter Band is identical to its partner in Green in many ways, but has a slightly smaller commitment.. In return for their commitment, YGB members receive a grand book scholarship each semester. Together, Green and Yellow Garter Bands have gained recognition and recognition on campus, in society and even nationally.
