Sherrie Lynn Hutchinson (born September 17, 1950) is an English actor, presenter, broadcaster, television personality and novelist. He is known for his role in the soap opera ITV Coronation Street (1993-1997, 2006), Intersection (2001-2003), and Emmerdale (2004- 2006).
She is a panelist at the Loose Women (2003-2016) lunch talk show and currently plays Joyce Temple-Savage on the ITV siti Benidorm (2012-present). By 2015, she is sixth in Celebrity Big Brother.

As well as further film roles in The Slipper and the Rose with Richard Chamberlain and Edith Evans and Hanover Street with Harrison Ford, Hewson became a regular fixture on television, especially as part of the star young future in Love For Lydia . He also has a brief role in the 1979 Alan Bennett drama Evening Off as Iris, an object that is ultimately worthless of Lee's protagonist efforts.
In the 1980s, as well as appearances in dramas like Play for Today , The Sandbaggers , Reminder , Juliet Bravo and The Gentle Touch , Hewson's talent for comedy saw him invited to join the Russ Abbot Madhouse series where he remained an integral part of his team for over ten years, then appeared at The Russ Abbot Show . Other comedy appearances include roles in Home to Roost , James House! , Never the Twain and Haggard , while he is also a popular foil for various comedians, including Stanley Baxter, Les Dawson, Little and Large, Cannon and Ball, and Les Dennis. Her most notable roles during this period were as Mary Henshaw on the popular sitcom In Loving Memory with Thora Hird and Christopher Beeny.
Careers
In 1993, Hewson served as Maureen Webster in Britain's oldest soap opera, Coronation Street , an accident-prone supermarket assistant and an accident dominated by her mother. In 1996, Hewson will be leaving the show for the first series shot of the BBC Oh, Doctor Beeching! , repeating May Skinner's role from the 1995 pilot. Although the passage has been written with it in mind, Hewson agrees to sign a new contract at the request of the producer Coronation Street , which has a storyline planned for his character, and Julia Deakin takes over Possible role. However, in 1997, Coronation Street's new producer Brian Park fired a number of characters, including Maureen. The last episode of Hewson was broadcast in October 1997. In December 2006, he returned as Maureen Webster for two episodes.
Hewson returned to the theater - appeared on Billy Liar and some pantomime - and radio, especially as the lead character in the series titled The Circle . He is also very much interested in the light entertainment program, and makes appearances in Blankety Blank , Noel's House Party and Call My Bluff among others. In 1999, Hewson acted as Jean in the sitcom Barbara .
In 2001, Hewson joined the cast of other soap operas, as Virginia Raven's receptionist in the revival of Intersection .
In 2003, Hewson became an ordinary panelist on Loose Women, ITV's daytime program. On August 3, 2016, Hewson announced his departure from the show, with the final episode being September 5, 2016.
In 2004, Hewson appeared on the celebrity 10 year celebrity makeover show and underwent cosmetic surgery on his face as well as hair and fashion improvements. She revealed that her decision to appear was partly influenced by the marriage of her 20-year marriage to her husband Ken Boyd.
In 2004, Hewson joined the Emmerdale players as Lesley Meredith, mother of Simon's fishmonger. He left the show on December 27, 2006.
In 2007, Hewson made a number of non-acting television appearances. As well as Loose Women , she appeared on Celebrity MasterChef , Real Deal Dickinson and was runner-up in Soapstar Superchef with his former colleague Emmydale Julia Mallam. Hewson also appeared on a special celebrity from Who Wants To Be a Millionaire? .
In 2012, Hewson joins the Benidorm sitcom actress. Since the fifth series, he appeared as Joyce Temple-Savage, the new manager of Solana Hotel.
On January 18, 2015, Hewson took part in a celebrity talent show Get Your Shared Deed with the illusion of spinner Andrew Van Buren.
In August 2015, Hewson took part and became a contestant in the sixteenth Channel Television series Celebrity Big Brother. She reached the final on Day 29, and finished in sixth place.
In February 2016, Hewson won the role of Mrs Slocombe, in a remake of the 1970 and 1980 sitcom BBC Are You Being Served? took over the part made famous by the late Mollie Sugden.
In August 2016, Hewson announced that he would leave Loose Women after 14 years. In 2018, he took part in ITV <100 Years Younger in 21 Days .

In March 2008, Hewson won the reality show BBC The Most Famous Killings won the chance to write his own crime fiction novel The Tannery , published on March 5, 2009 by Pan Macmillan as one 'quickly read' them, released annually as part of World Book Day celebrations. In 2011, he released another book entitled Behind The Laughter On February 13, 2014, Hewson published a cookbook called Nana's Kitchen .
Personal life
In May 1983, Hewson married Ken Boyd, whom he met in 1976, and had a daughter in 1984. The couple later split up after she confessed to having an affair. On October 19, 2011, Hewson announced on Loose Women that he and Boyd had divorced. He claims to have a passion for Thai cuisine that is an integral part of his diet.
In 2007, after more than thirty years in the show business, Hewson declared bankruptcy. He described the experience as having "a frightening and contagious disease".
Hewson is a retired cousin of Garry Birtles. Mrs. Hewson died in 2012.
