ABC Death is a 2012 American anthology horror comedy produced by international producers and directed by filmmakers from around the world. The film contains 26 different shorts, each by a different director that includes fifteen countries, including Nacho Vigalondo, Kaare Andrews, Adam Wingard, Simon Barrett, Banjong Pisanthanakun, Ben Wheatley, Lee Hardcastle, Noboru Iguchi, Ti West, and Angela Bettis.
It premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2012. In 2013, it was released on January 31st and in theaters March 8th. The ultimate credit of the feature film is the Australian band Skyhooks' 1974 song "Horror Movie". The sequel, ABC of Death 2 , was released in late 2014 and the second sequel, ABCs of Death 2.5 in 2016.

Plot
The film is divided into twenty-six separate chapters, each headed by a different director assigning alphabet letters. The directors were then given the freedom of choosing words to create stories involving death. Varieties of death range from accidents to murder.
The contest was held for the twenty-sixth director's role. The winner is a UK-based director Lee Hardcastle, who proposed a brief claymation for T.

The film begins to show the funnel from close to the blood flowing from it. Blood began to fill various rooms in the house before filling the inside of a small room containing the beam letters. The room flooded when the floating block to the top spelled the title. Throughout the movie, the spelling block titles for all segments with each segment ended and start with focus on, or fade into, red.
Reception
Rotten Tomatoes reported that 36% of critics gave positive reviews on films and an average score of 4.8/10 based on 66 reviews. The consensus says the film is "very uneven, with some legitimate and frightening entries that miss the mark." Nerdist calls it "midnight movie for people with sick sense of humor". The Austin Chronicle says it "soared to such an artistic height, and such bland depth, on a global scale, no less, bodes well for the future of movie cinema and vice versa", while Inside Pulse says the film has a "brilliant concept but not a great execution". Many reviewers have criticized this film's non-vibrancy.
Dread Central provides mixed reviews for the film, saying the film is "full of worse installments than good" but it is an "easy show" overall. The School Rejects film gives the B-rank ABC of Death, praising D for Dogfight while saying that " M is for Miscarriage is almost insulting her laziness". Screen Crush gives overall positive reviews, saying that it is "a good time in the cinema".
Dave Canfield writes for film magazine Magill's Cinema Annual says of the movie: "The ABCs of Death is for anyone who likes horror because it's easy to get through a segment that does not need to be tasted.Every audience should be ready to laugh hard enough , feel tense, get dirty like a decent horror movie, but that same audience now has a chance to know about some of the best directors working in horror today. "
Sheila Kearns Cases
After showing the film to a group of Spanish high school students, former Ohio substitute teacher Sheila Kearns was found guilty of four counts of spreading malicious material for teenagers. On Thursday, January 16, 2015, Kearns was found guilty, and on March 5, 2015, he was sentenced to 90 days in prison and trials for three years.
