Extreme Cheer Allstars is a branch of the cheerleading dance center and competition found throughout North Carolina, Maryland, Illinois and Virginia. The most famous Cheer Extreme for the team of Senior and Big Senior, who received many national titles and ranked in Worlds Cheerleading competitions, with Cheer Extreme Senior Elite winning first prize title in 2010, 2012 and 2013. In 2015 Cheerleading Worlds, Coed Elite Cheer Extreme won first place. Also in 2016 and 2018 Cheerleading Worlds Cheer Extreme's SSX won first place. Cheer Extreme has over 850 National Champion titles. In 2009, owner and coach Courtney Smith Pope, who was a cheerleader for Wake Forest University, won the USASF-sponsored Coach of The Year. In 2013 Cheer Extreme opened its location in Roanoke, Virginia. In 2015 Cheer Extreme opens its newest location in Waldorf, Maryland.
Cheer Extreme was founded in 1994 by Betsy Smith, and is now owned by his daughter and son-in-law, Courtney Smith Pope and Ben Pope.
