Clea Helen D'Etienne DuVall (born September 25, 1977) is an American actress, writer, producer and director. He is best known for his role as Sofie on the television series HBO CarnivÃÆ' le (2003-05), and for films like The Faculty (1998), She's All That (1999), But I'm a Cheerleader (1999), Girl, Interrupted (1999), 21 Gram (2003), and < i> The Grudge (2004). He is also known for his role as Cora Lijek in the Academy Award-winning Argo (2012), Audrey Hanson at NBC Heroes (2006-07), Wendy Peyser at FX's American Horror Story: Asylum (2012-13), and Emma Borden on Lifetime's The Lizzie Borden Chronicles (2015).
Since 2016, he has played Marjorie on HBO's Veep , where he has twice been nominated - along with his co-star - for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Extraordinary Performance by Ensemble in Comedy Series, winning in 2018.

DuVall debuted in the 1996 film Little Witches. This was followed by roles in several independent films and guest appearances on episodes of ER and Buffy the Vampire Slayer , before a breakthrough in 1998 as a gothic student in Robert Rodriguez Faculty . He then describes a pathological liar on Girl, Interrupted, across from Winona Ryder; and a lesbian underwent conversion therapy at But I'm a Cheerleader . The main roles in The Astronaut's Wife (1999), Ghosts of Mars (2001) and Thirteen Conversations About One Thing (2001) follow it.
After appearing in films such as The Laramie Project (2002), Identity (2003) and 21 Grams (2003), DuVall starred in the award-winning HBO's Emmy Carnivà © le , which runs from 2003-2005. In 2012, he co-starred in the movie Ben Affleck Argo , based on the Iranian hostage crisis. DuVall plays Cora Lijek, a Japanese-American who was one of six American diplomats rescued from Iran in 1980. He, along with the rest of the Argo cast, received the Screen Actors Guild Award for Extraordinary Performance by Cast in Motion Pictures. That same year, DuVall appeared in a recurring role during the second season of the anthology series FX American Horror Story , as Wendy Peyser, girlfriend Lana Winters (Sarah Paulson).
In 2014, DuVall starred as Emma Borden, sister Lizzie Borden (played by Christina Ricci), in the Lifetime TV movie, Lizzie Borden Taking Ax . He then replicated the role for the eight-part Lifetime series, The Lizzie Borden Chronicles (2015).
In 2016, DuVall made a feature directing debut with The Intervention , which he also wrote, starred, and executive production. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 26, 2016.
It was reported in October 2017 that DuVall will star in Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale as Ofglen's wife, played by Alexis Bledel.
