The human pyramid is an acrobatic formation of three or more people in which two or more people support higher levels of people, who in turn can support others higher. People above the lower level can kneel or stand on the shoulders, back or thighs of the people below them. Typically, the number of people at each level is one greater than the tier above it, resulting in a triangular structure reminiscent of the name of the formation.

For practical reasons, lighter people are often positioned higher in formation and stronger, heavier people are closer to the base. The human pyramid is carried out in a variety of activities, including cheerleaders and circus acrobatics.

Cheerleading

Cheerleaders can perform human pyramids with more difficult action sequences and exercises put into routines. In cheerleaders, pyramids are some airborne action groups with leaflets. This connection can be done by connecting a simple hand or having a multi-level pyramid. Leaflets already on air serve as the main basis for leaflets or other leaflets on it.
