St. Joseph Hill Academy High School is a private female school in the Arrochar neighborhood of Staten Island, New York. Located on a 14 acre campus (57,000 m 2 ) (which eponymously stands on a hill, giving views of the Manhattan skyline), it serves about 400 young women on the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade and accompanied by the coeducation wing for students in pre-K to 8. Schools are established and operated by Daughters of Divine Love; the majority of the school's population is Roman Catholic, although the school does not rely on New York Archdiocese.

History
The school started in March 1920, with the purchase of 14-acre land (57,000 m 2 ) from William Knauth by Reverend Mother M. Kostka Bauer. In May of that year, Divine Charity Daughter arrived at Staten Island and in the autumn was inaugurated a guidance class for a group of twenty-five children who came to them during the summer. These classes lead to Academy institutions. During the early years of school, it is also a boarding school. The first middle class of the Academy began in 1930, and the first Official Training was held for six secondary school graduates in June 1934. At that time, the Academy was affiliated with the Catholic University of America, Washington, DC In 1938, the department of St. John's High School. Joseph Hill Academy receives a full recognition and accreditation plaque from the New York State University Bupati Board. Since its inception, several projects have been undertaken to meet the growing needs of the Academy. The rapid pace of school growth was a major factor affecting M. Fidelis Babos, who later became the Provincial Hero of the Divine Love Daughters, to formulate a plan for the establishment of a new high school wing that would be added to an existing primary school. the building, which was ordained in 1953. Thus, on August 26, 1956, the groundbreaking ceremony was held for the construction of this building. On March 23, 1957, Most Rev. Joseph M. Pernicone, Auxiliary of New York, laid the cornerstone. A formal dedication from the high school building occurred on May 22, 1958, conducted by Francis Cardinal Spellman, Archbishop of New York. New construction projects started in 1999 were completed during the 2000-2001 school year. A new gymnasium, four additional secondary school classrooms and a distance learning laboratory, to upgrade our WITAC program, are added to our facility. In 2009 an additional building, Madonna Hall, was added, named after the Virgin Mary even though her students joked that it was a reference to the singer. Driver education classes are also held on campus in this building. Through the 1950s the school also offered a coeducational elementary school program.

Technology
In 1999, St. Joseph Hill Academy designed and implemented the WITAC (Women Integrating Technology And Curriculum) program. The program requires that all students purchase a laptop for use in each of the major curriculum areas.
In September 2002, a videoconference and distance learning center was established. Schools intend to form partnerships with secondary schools, colleges, and other universities to provide and receive content and instructions that are not available.
Academics
Study Program at St. Joseph Hill Academy is primarily academic, designed to meet college entrance requirements. This is in accordance with the direction of the New York State Council. In accordance with the college preparatory course, students are expected to obtain a Bupati diploma with advanced appointment.

Regent diploma with advanced designation is obtained with a score of 65 or above at the following Regent Examination: Mathematics A, Global Studies, Environment, English, American History, Mathematics B, Foreign Language and Physical Settings (Chemistry) and a minimum of 22 credits. Students who retain an average of 90% in this exam will earn a Certificate of Advanced Diploma with Honors.
Uniform
School uniforms have not changed much since the beginning. Today, it consists of a blue skirt postman and a blazer that matches a white shirt, white stockings, and saddle boots. The postman's blue briefs are worn in the winter, with a dark blue sweater. Simple black or navy wool coats are worn in winter and should at least cover the knee; and students can only use white, black, gray, and dark blue accessories. Accessories are limited to a set of gold or silver (earrings), simple crosses (necklaces) or religious medals on gold or silver chains, and simple hair bands. Only Juniors and Ages are allowed to wear school rings and use adequate lipstick and color flush accordingly. All kinds of make-up and accessories are prohibited. Hairstyles should be simple and hair coloring should look natural. Major changes in hair coloring are prohibited.
Awards
St. Joseph Hill Academy is recognized for Academic Excellence by the National Catholic High School Honor Roll. Hilltoppers won the Golden Apple Award 2006 sponsored by the New York City Sanitation Department. They won the city's first prize and award for the territory of Staten Island. School Trashbuster teams clean up the shores of Staten Island and Clove Lake Park, remove graffiti, and clean up garbage around school regularly. In addition, the girls plant bulbs and crops throughout the year. The $ 6,000 prize will be used for beauty and education purposes.
Athletics
On February 8, 2015, the St. Joseph Hill Cheerleading won the National Varsity Level Division Championships at the Universal Cheerleading School Cheerleading Championship (OCA) at the Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. They are the first team from New York City to win the Cheerleading National Championship and the first team in New York State to win in the Super Varsity Division.
