Francesco Degli Angeli (or Angelis) (Sorrento, 1567 - Colela, Ethiopia, October 21, 1628) was an Italian Jesuit missionary to Ethiopia.

Life
He entered the Society of Jesus in 1583. After two years (1602-04) spent time in the Indies mission, he traveled to Ethiopia, where they called him "a cheerful man."
Angeli stands tall in favor of two consecutive Ethiopian Kings. He made converts, among them the brother of the King and ruler of the palace, but failed to bring the reunion of the Abyssinian Church with the Roman Catholic Church, because of the resistance of the Ethiopian monks.
For five years, Angeli preached the gospel among the Agazi, where he founded a church and a school.

Work
He translated many religious works into the Agazi language. The most important of them is Maldonatus commentary on the Gospel of Matthew and St.. Luke.
