Plot

Vanessa Snyder (Alexa Vega) is a highly respected eighth grader at her school. She has a divorced single mother, Barbara (Lisa Vidal), who is proud of her academically and socially successful daughter. Vanessa is also "on" with popular clicks, comprising her best friends Stacey Larson (Leah Pipes), queen of bees, and Nikki Rodriguez (Elizabeth Rice), who secretly jealous the bond between her two friends. On the outside of the circle are outsiders, Emily (Shari Dyon Perry), and "wannabe," Tiffany Thompson (Alicia Morton), who is dying to make her a group.

One day, Nikki deceives Vanessa to get closer to Tony (Chad Biagini), a boy ridden by Stacey (and rather Vanessa). A network of lies, bad rumors, and manipulation occurred, and Vanessa was ostracized by a click for Stacy's "treachery." Nikki gets Tiffany accepted in a click, and Tiffany becomes Nikki's best friend in bullying. Although Nikki is the main bully, Stacey plays her role by pretending she's still a friend of Vanessa and has not stopped the attack. Vanessa is slowly pushed out of class activities, socially isolated and her torturers create a website that bumps into her.

Although Emily tries to convince Vanessa not to run back to click, Vanessa continues to seek reconciliation with Stacey, with devastating results. One day, Vanessa tried to sit with the girls at lunch, but they refused. Vanessa ran to the women's bathroom, and hid inside one of the stalls. The girls follow her and verbally attack her until she cries. That night, Vanessa had a nervous breakdown and cut off most of her hair. Then he began to skip school, fearful of suffering in the hallway. Stacey offers a fake ceasefire to Vanessa, making it look like Vanessa copied one of Stacey's assignments when it was in fact the opposite.

After Barbara saw insulting comments about Vanessa's hair, she tried to help by telling the school about the persecution. Principal Jessup states that she can not take disciplinary action against verbal abuse. Barbara even tried to reason with Stacey's mother, Denise (Rhoda Griffis), but only eventually cemented their friendship.

Vanessa's spirit suddenly lifted when she was invited to Stacey's birthday party. After full dress, she and Barbara arrived at the nightclub that Stacey claimed to be the location of the party, but there was no party at all. Upon returning home, Vanessa goes ballistic and then attempts suicide by taking overdose of Barbara's sleeping pills, causing her to faint on the bathroom floor. Barbara soon found this and immediately called an ambulance. When Vanessa was put in an ambulance, a boy from her school recorded the incident. Vanessa was taken to a hospital and treated.

At the hospital, Barbara reveals to Vanessa that she was also harassed when she was a teenager, which caused her to encourage Vanessa to remain friends with Stacey. He says that he has never personally dealt with it and hopes Vanessa will defend herself. Nikki and Tiffany insult Vanessa even after she attempts suicide; they watched a video of him being taken to a hospital and called him a "druggie" and a "sad loser." During the class session, Emily accuses Stacey of killing Vanessa almost with her actions. She is also the only Vanessa classmate who visits her in the hospital and befriends her. Back home, Barbara saw a malicious instant message popping up on Vanessa's computer and sending her to Principal Jessup. The perpetrators were Nikki, Tiffany, and Ezra (Joey Nappo) and were told by Principal Jessup that a new policy against cyberbullying bullied student abuse is now being put into effect in school after what happened to Vanessa. He then gives them an ultimatum: If they admit that they have oppressed the cybigul Vanessa, they will only be suspended for a week. But if they do not confess, they will be expelled from school and will not graduate with their class.

When Vanessa returns to school, Stacey assures him that she's sorry about bullying, uniting them both. They know each other about how great being friends again. Then the day of graduation arrives and the final dispute comes after the ceremony - Nikki and Tiffany recklessly read the conversation between Vanessa and Stacey, which Stacey sent to Nikki, who printed it out loud in a crowded hallway. Vanessa faces Stacey in front of the whole class, lowers everything and sees her lies. Humiliated, Stacey escapes from school with tears and two "followers," Nikki and Tiffany, helpless without a leader. The class praised Vanessa as she embraced Emily, her only true friend. Barbara, who watched the entire exchange, watched proudly as the two friends left for the party afterwards, permanently dispersing the bullying gang.
