Rosario High School was founded in 1962 by Dominican Sisters from Springfield, Illinois as a private school, all girls, college prep, Roman Catholic, located in Aurora, Illinois. It ranks as one of the top private schools in the state of Illinois as students achieve an average of 5 points higher on ACT and 43 points higher on SAT. In addition, Rosary offers 22 different clubs and organizations and 13 sports teams. There is a very high participation rate in which 82% of the student body plays in sports with an average GPA of 3.47. As many sports teams reach the innings and states, 12 NCAA scholarships are awarded on average each year. Currently, one of Rosary's swimmers, Alexis Yager, has qualified for the Olympic Trial in 3 games. The Beads, Rosary's swimming team, have won the Illinois state swim title for six years (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2015, and 2016). The bead has also been runner-up for the title four times (2000, 2003, 2004 and 2014) and has been placed third four times (1999, 2001, 2010 and 2011).

Academics
Rosary provides a rigorous college preparatory curriculum that teaches individual students. Passing requirements: Rosary High School requires each graduate to complete 4 credits each in English and Theology, 3 credits in Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences, 2 foreign language credits, 1 physical education credit, 0.5 Health credits, and 3 , 5 credits from electives. In a foreign language, Rosary offers classes in Spanish, Latin and French. It is also the only high school in the state that has a dedicated Student Center for Success where students each day receive personalized study guidance. This ensures that students at all levels can succeed and excel through all subjects.
As a college prep school, 100% of students attend post-graduate lectures. Rosary High School is an excellent investment and value because students can earn up to 28 credit hours of tuition through a dual-credit program offered through Waubonsee Community College on the Rosary campus. This saves parents about more than $ 200,000 in tuition fees each semester. In addition, graduates earn about $ 16 million in scholarships to lecture each year.
Rosary High School maintains a relationship with Marmion Academy, her sister's school. There are many joint activities and social clubs between the two schools, although most music groups such as theater programs and marching bands.
