The third season of the Wizards of Waverly Place aired on the Disney Channel from October 9, 2009 to October 15, 2010. The Russo, Alex (Selena Gomez), Justin (David Henrie), and Max Russo (Jake T Austin) continues to compete to become a leading wizard in their family and meet with many friends and enemies along the way. Maria Canals Barrera and David DeLuise served as parents and colleagues Jennifer Stone as Alex's best friend, Harper Finkle. This is the first season of the series to be broadcast in high definition.

Opening the order

The opening sequence is the same as for the previous season. Characters in the order of opening are still in Standard Definition, only the background is converted to high definition.

The sequence begins with Alex (Selena Gomez) waking up in the morning with a buzzing clock alarm. He uses a spell to make time 6:30. He then goes to the bathroom where Justin (David Henrie) observes himself in the mirror where Alex pushes him aside. She becomes irritated and then uses magic to bring her to the mirror. In the kitchen, Max (Jake T. Austin) has an orange that turns into a vanilla cupcake. Meanwhile, Harper (Jennifer Stone) meets Alex at the front door, pointing at the watermelon shirt. Back in the kitchen, Max will put a cupcake in his rucksack when his mother, Teresa (Maria Canals Barrera), makes him return it to orange. Alex told his mother that he was late for school. In the nest, Jerry (David DeLuise) has a far-off spell book. He then went to pick it up. At the sub shop, Alex opens his book bag and spellbooks in. Jerry lectured him when the main title card appeared. Then the four friends walked to school.

Synopsis

Justin is now a graduate who has graduated and no longer needs to take a wizard training class with his brothers. Alex now felt the need to practice his skills with a little help from Harper who now lives with the Russos family. Justin also continues his relationship with a vampire named Juliet (Bridgit Mendler) and Alex starts a new one with a werewolf named Mason (Gregg Sulkin). Both relationships end badly, with Juliet changing to see her true age and Mason turning permanently into a wolf. However, Justin has moved with help from Harper and Alex, who have continued his relationship with Mason after the "state magic" returned him to human form. Justin strives to fulfill a number of achievements that he says are successful senior years in high school, including joining the basketball team, being elected president of student organizations, organizing large parties, and winning science shows with water-powered engines. Meanwhile, Alex meets a teenage wizard named Stevie Nichols (Hayley Kiyoko), who is the same personality general as Alex. Alex and Stevie became friends, deeply alarming Harper. Later, Stevie starts a wizard's revolution and Alex tricks him into joining the revolution to freeze Stevie and transfer his power to his brother, Warren. Max then destroys Stevie by accident. Alex has an ongoing romance this season. Max fell in love with his first girlfriend. The end of the season has families kidnapped by government agents to become magicians. Fooled into believing an alien invasion is coming, Justin says the agent's magic exists, which causes most of the witches to be captured. The Russos managed to escape with Alex stating they need to tell the world of the truth to save the wizarding world.
